Mahjong at à la Main • Beginner Mahjong Basics
Join us! Mahjong is a centuries-old tile game that is steeped in history, art, and tradition, and will quickly become your newest obsession! Lisa from Blue Tiger Mahj Club will be on hand to teach you all the beginner basics: the tiles, the player card, how to deal, finding your best hand, and so much more! Enjoy a coffee or tea while you get your mahj-on in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere!

All mahjong game pieces, accessories, cards, and teaching aids available for use during the lesson

9:50 - 10:00am • Player arrival, find a seat
10:00 - 11:15pm • Brief history of mahjong, learn the tiles, objective of the game, learn about beginner hands
11:15 - 11:25pm • Refreshment break
11:30 - 1pm • Deal, Charleston, and game play
